Ingredients Make Better Soap
The first thing you will notice upon bathing with Frankie Mae for the first time
is how remarkably soft and moisturized your skin will feel.
My grandmother used to say,
Milk is nature's beauty secret it. This is why all of my soaps contain Organic
Goat's Milk. Honey is a timeless moisturizer which contributes to the dewy
suppleness that a bath with Frankie Mae will leave on your body.
Making soap
from scratch is relatively simple; however, handcrafting a distinctive,
skin-loving bar of soap takes lots of practice.
I have
devoted several years to understanding the soap making process,
characteristics of base oils and how they work together to give way to a superb
soap recipe which stands shoulders above many others.
-
Organic Goats Milk -
The chemical composition of Goat's
milk is highly compatible with human skin. It helps your skin to retain its own
moisture.
Goat's Milk Soap
has a pH level similar to our own which aids our skin in the protection from harmful bacteria
or chemicals. Goat milk soap is rich in natural proteins, vitamins and minerals that
nourish and soften the skin while helping to seal in moisture and prevent dryness.
It is is rich in alpha-hydroxyl acids that promote
gentle exfoliation.
-
Organic
Honey - Honey is a
timeless moisturizer that is naturally anti-bacterial and moisture attracting. I
only use raw honey - which is not heat processed.
-
Unrefined African Shea Butter
- Is a 6000 year old African Beauty Secret that I rely on as a significant
ingredient in all of my soap recipes. What makes Shea Butter unique is that the
key Vitamins A, E & F it contains are naturally occurring. Because of the low
fat percentage, it penetrates the skin easily quickly transporting its
conditioning and moisturizing properties beneath the skin.
-
Natural Clays, Plants, and
Minerals for Color - Clays
& minerals are naturally occurring and my primary source of color in my soaps.
Many contribute much more than color to the recipe.
-
Baking Soda
- Is the featured ingredient in my shaving soaps and contributes to the smooth
and creamy lather.
